Terms of service

Last updated November 7, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Ahmadzai Group for the use of Anaar. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Anaar.

What Anaar is not

Anaar is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice. It shows you what a label says and a score calculated from it. It does not know your health, your diet or your medication, and nothing in it should be used to treat, diagnose or manage any condition. Talk to a doctor or a dietitian for that.

Do not rely on Anaar for allergies. Our product information comes from several sources and some of them carry no allergen statement at all: for those products the app shows an ingredient list and no warning, and the absence of a warning means nothing. Labels also change without the catalogue changing. If you have an allergy or intolerance, read the physical package every time.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Anaar only with a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms with you. Anaar is offered in Canada and the United States; we make no claim that it is appropriate anywhere else.

Your account

Give us an email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it. One person, one account. You can delete your account whenever you like, from the Account screen.

What you contribute

When a product is missing you can photograph its nutrition label, and when something is wrong you can report it. Both are contributions, and they are the reason the catalogue grows.

Using it fairly

Please do not:

There is a daily limit on label reads, because each one costs us money to process. We may change that limit.

The catalogue and its accuracy

The product information in Anaar comes from public databases, from label photographs and from corrections people send. We work to keep it accurate and we are grateful for every report, but we cannot promise that any particular product is complete, current or correct. The package in your hand is always the authority.

The score is our own calculation from the nutrition panel. It is one opinion expressed as a number, not a verdict on whether a food is good for you.

Our side of it

Anaar is free to use today. We may add paid features later, and if we do we will say so clearly before anything costs money. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service, and we will give reasonable notice when a change matters to you.

The app, the name, the logo, the design and the software are ours. You may use the app as it is intended; you may not copy, reverse-engineer or redistribute it.

No warranty

Anaar is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and the accuracy of any product information. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Ahmadzai Group is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Anaar, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing here takes away consumer rights you have under the law where you live.

Ending it

You may stop using Anaar and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

Changes to these terms

We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Anaar after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [province], Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction — without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
